Our client, Playster, is the world’s first all-inclusive streaming service, offering unlimited music, movies, books, audiobooks and games under one subscription. To better meet its needs, Playster is seeking a legal counsel to join its downtown Montreal office.

Reporting directly to the head of the legal department, you will be one of two in-house lawyers and will be responsible for all legal matters relating to the company’s day-to-day activities.

You will draft and negotiate commercial contracts with media content partners, alongside the company’s business people and content team. In addition to licensing agreements, you will also work on various contracts such as service, inter-company, partnership and marketing agreements, etc.  You will supervise the intellectual property portfolio and maintain the Canadian corporate entities. If and when needed, you may be brought to intervene in cases regarding potential litigations, acting as the contact person with external legal counsel and advising Human Resources.

Are you looking to work for a start-up? Are you creative, solution-oriented and interested in putting your business acumen into practice? You must have 2 or 3 years of experience in general business law, preferably acquired in a renowned firm or company, be recognized for your writing skills and be called to the Bar of a Canadian province. You must also have at least working knowledge of French to qualify. Réf. 27177
