Gamblers, gangsters, and gals in the city that never sleeps! The slickest high rollers are in town, and they're depending on Nathan Detroit to score a secret spot for their floating crap game. Trouble is he's $1,000 shy. Throw in Sarah Brown, who's short on sinners at the mission; Sky Masterson, who accepts Nathan's $1000 bet that he can't lure Sarah Brown to Havana; Miss Adelaide, who's desperate to marry Nathan; the meddling Police Lieutenant Brannigan; and lively songs like “Luck Be A Lady” and you've got an evening to remember—you can bet on it! One of Broadway’s favourite musicals, it premiered in New York in 1950 and was immortalized by the 1955 film starring Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra.

Auditions

Auditions will take place on November 3rd 2011 6pm to 9pm and November 5th 2011 from 2pm to 5pm, at the Carousel Theatre Rehearsal Hall – 1411 Cartwright St. Granville Island.
“But I’ve never auditioned before - it sounds scary!” It’s not – it’s easy!
Just choose one of the monologues on our website and print it out. You don’t need to memorize it for the audition, just read it over enough times that you can read it out loud with commitment. Practice singing a little song (30 sec to 1 min) unaccompanied – Happy Birthday and Oh Canada are perfectly fine! Then show up during one of the designated times at Carousel (no appointment necessary). We do the rest. Your audition will take about 10 minutes.
