Our client, Purpose Unlimited purpose-unlimited.com, is looking for a Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) and business partner to join its growing Legal & Compliance team.
The CCO will be responsible for overseeing and building on the compliance program at Purpose Investments Inc., its wholly owned asset manager and exempt market dealer with approximately $17 billion assets under management. Purpose Investments is one of Canada’s most innovative and fastest growing asset management firms with industry leading product innovations recognized globally.
Responsibilities shall include facilitating compliance with regulations, updating and reviewing the policies and procedure manual, identifying and documenting regulatory risks, and working with the businesses in developing compliant practices. This position involves wearing a compliance and business hat, collaborating with senior leadership, planning, organization, and execution of day-to-day operational compliance activities along with a team of legal and compliance professionals.

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Affairs, the ideal candidate will have 8+ years of industry experience in a senior compliance role, will meet the qualifications to act as the CCO for IFM/PM/EMD, and will have solid exposure to asset management in Canada.
