Our client is seeking to fill 3 open roles for Law Clerks/Underwriters for their Residential Solutions team. External job description below. 3+ years of experience in Real Estate / Law firm. The roles will be in Oakville, 3 days in office, 2 days remote.  This hybrid arrangement will be reviewed and reassessed in the new year.

As a Residential Underwriter, you will assess risk associated with deals and communicating with clients. You will maintain a phone queue and respond to client inquiries providing detailed coverage information.

Here’s how you’ll contribute:

  • Underwrite and prepare title insurance policies;
  • Be able to assess risk utilizing real estate knowledge and apply appropriate coverage;
  • Review legal documents provided by firm, including title searches, surveys, title reports, etc.
  • Respond to customers regarding their current transactions and inquiries relating to coverage for title issues;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Provide superior customer service and maintain strong customer relationships

 

Here’s what you’ll bring:

  • 3 years experience working on real estate files from beginning to end;
  • Professional and customer service focused, with excellent communication skills;
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to pay attention to detail while managing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize work and requests from customers
  • Law Clerk designation an asset
