
Toronto/Montreal (Hybrid position located in Toronto or Montreal)
We’re looking for a motivated, dynamic and bilingual Events & Marketing Advisor to join our team for a permanent full-time position in Toronto or Montreal.
The role will support the production of several large-scale events produced by ZSA across Canada, some internal events, and will support marketing initiatives to assist with business development, particularly focussing on the following responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction in the planning and successful execution of several events in the legal community produced by ZSA;
- Communicate with various stakeholders regarding events, including sponsorships, table sales, communication with relevant advisory boards, award nominees, sponsors, production company, venues, etc.;
- Administrative duties: Keep abreast of the status of event invoices and budgets and ensure invoices are paid, including internal and external follow-up as necessary;
- Advise management and recruiting staff, as required, on sponsorship and partnership opportunities, as well as event participation;
- Develop and prepare marketing materials for sponsorship and networking events at which ZSA has a presence at;
- Assist in the planning and successful execution of a marketing and communications strategy for all ZSA programming;
- Assisting with submissions for clients in RFP submissions, as required;
- Any other tasks required for the smooth running and execution of events and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications required:
- Bilingual in spoken and written French and English;
- Diploma in marketing, communications, event management or any other combination of training deemed relevant will be considered;
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in a communications or events department. Experience in a professional services firm is an asset;
- Knowledge of external suppliers such as caterers, audiovisual services, rental spaces, meeting rooms, hotels and restaurants;
- Experience in budgeting for events;
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with internal and external teams;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
- Willingness to work outside normal working hours and to travel within Canada.
