- Do you have a passion for labour relations?
- Do you have interest in film, television, and digital media industries?
- Do you want to practice law in a new environment and achieve genuine work-life balance?
We have the position for you!
Our client, the Association québécoise de la production médiatique (“AQPM”), represents and supports independent production companies in film, television, and digital media content. Its membership includes 150 Quebec-based companies whose productions are recognized both locally and internationally, as well as around 40 production managers. Serving its members for nearly 60 years, AQPM currently employs about 15 permanent staff based at its downtown Montreal headquarters.
To continue meeting the needs of producers, AQPM is seeking a Labour Relations Counsel to join its team. Reporting directly to the Director of Labour Relations and Legal Affairs, you will serve as a key advisor to members regarding the application of various collective agreements and the management of production-specific situations. In collaboration with the team, you will take an active role in preparing for collective bargaining. You will also manage grievances; assessing their likelihood of success, negotiating settlements, and working with external counsel through to hearings when required. Finally, you will provide guidance and support to members on occupational health and safety matters.
Do you have at least 18 months of relevant experience in labour or employment law, not including your articling period? Are you looking for a supportive, dynamic and stimulating work environment that still allows for the kind of work-life balance that’s often hard to find in this field? If you are bilingual, a member of the Barreau du Québec, and a resourceful professional committed to quality work and excellent client service, contact us today to learn more! Ref.: #34011
This is an exclusive search with ZSA. All CVs sent and contacts made directly to AQPM will be redirected to ZSA for review.
