Our client, Kruger Inc., is a privately held family-owned company whose mission is to transform renewable resources into sustainable, high-quality essentials for everyday life, including tissue products for household and industrial use, containerboard and packaging products, publication papers, and specialty papers. Founded in 1904 and headquartered in Montreal, the company now operates offices and production facilities across North America, including 47 green energy production sites.

Kruger is creating a Director, Legal Affairs position to join its head office team and provide high-level legal support aligned with management’s strategic direction and the organization’s governance, compliance, and growth activities. Your role, primarily commercial in nature, will involve reviewing, negotiating, and drafting a wide range of commercial agreements, requiring close collaboration in particular with the Sales and Procurement teams within the Packaging and Papers & Publications divisions, for which you will act as the designated point of contact. You will also serve as a strategic partner within Kruger Inc., whether in coordinating the commercialization of a new product, structuring a commercial agreement, or assessing—alongside external counsel—the legal risks inherent in a potential acquisition. You will participate in the company’s financing activities and will, from time to time, be called upon to provide support on corporate secretarial, regulatory, and governance matters.
