Our client, Boralex (TSX: BLX), has been providing renewable and affordable energy for over 30 years and is actively involved in the fight against global warming. Being a Canadian leader on the market and a largest independent producer of onshore wind power in France, Boralex is also active in the United States and the United Kingdom. Boralex is developing a portfolio of wind, solar and storage projects of more than 2.7 GW and currently has approximately 450 employees.
To support its team, based at the head office in downtown Montréal, Boralex is looking to expand the ranks of its legal department.
Reporting to the Director of Legal Affairs, your day-to-day work will be primarily focused on supporting operations. In particular, you will provide legal support to the business units for North American and European activities in matters of different legal fields: commercial, environment, real estate, and daily risk management. You will draft, review and interpret various commercial contracts, including construction, financing and equipment and electricity purchases/sales, interpret the rights and obligations of the parties during execution, provide advice on regulatory matters, etc. You will also manage litigation and disputes in collaboration with external lawyers.
Do you want to be part of a growing industry sector and join an entrepreneurial environment, where things are moving fast? Are you autonomous and capable of proposing practical solutions that protect the company while achieving business objectives? We’d love to talk. Please note that you must be bilingual and a member of the Quebec Bar to qualify, and that telecommuting will be possible for part of the post-pandemic period. Ref : #31238
This is an exclusive mandate for ZSA. Resumes sent to or contacts made with Boralex will be forwarded to ZSA for reviews.
