Our client, Power Sustainable is a sustainable investment manager with offices in Canada, China, and the United States. They invest in companies and projects with the potential to deliver returns while contributing to decarbonization, social progress and quality growth. With approximately CAD $4.2B of assets under management, Power Sustainable deploys patient and purposeful capital in infrastructure, private equity, and public equities.

To meet the needs of their growing business, Power Sustainable is looking to hire for a Legal Counsel to support their operations. Located in downtown Montreal, this newly created position will report to the General Counsel.

On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with the department’s three other lawyers and be involved in all legal aspects of asset management activities, including mergers & acquisitions, the launch of new investment platforms and the creation of public and private investment funds in Canada and abroad. You will contribute to legal compliance issues, including corporate secretarial matters, organization of board and committee meetings, and implementation of the governance framework for the company’s investment platforms.
