Reporting to the Director, Member Regulation Policy Team, and the Policy Counsel, our client, one of Canada’s key investment regulatory bodies, seeks an experienced Policy Counsel with 5+ years of experience working with a financial institution/regulatory/other investment industry participant to join their team. Key responsibilities include developing and drafting rules and guidance applicable to dealer members, participating in the review and approval process of regulation policy initiatives, and acting as a counsel to Dealer Members and applicable stakeholders. Bilingualism in French and a previous understanding of policy development in the investment industry are strong assets.
