Is it possible to,

• have a great deal of autonomy and be the “go-to person“ for Quebec legal matters, while being part of a bigger team throughout Canada;
• work part or full time from home; and
• be involved on a very wide range of legal issues arising from doing business in the insurance sector, rather than being siloed in a specific area?

Yes, that is possible!

Our client, The Co-operators Group Limited is a Canadian-owned co-operative with more than $56 billion in assets under administration. Through its group of companies, The Co-operators offers home, auto, life, group, travel, commercial and farm insurance, as well as investment products. It is also listed among the 50 Best Employers in Canada. Within its three core areas of operation — property and casualty insurance, life insurance and institutional investments — The Co-operators employs approximately 6,500 employee and a dedicated Financial Advisor network with 2,300 licensed insurance representatives throughout Canada.
To continue to provide practical solutions and support the business units, CGL is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel dedicated to their Quebec operations.

You like to be in the action? You are seeking variety? You want to make a difference and are at the point in your career where you need a good level of autonomy? If you are practical, have good business acumen, are bilingual and called in Quebec, contact us to discuss. You need to have at least 8 years of relevant experience to qualify. Knowledge of insurance, financial services or mutual fund distribution law will be considered assets. Ref.: #31269

This is an exclusive mandate for ZSA. Resumes sent to or contacts made with The Co-operators Group Limited (“CGL”) will be forwarded to ZSA for review.
