Jennifer joined ZSA in 2022 as Director of Legal and National Manager of Programming and Events after working in-house as Counsel with a professional liability insurer for 23 years. At ZSA, she manages the in-house legal work for their offices across Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, and provides strategic direction and execution of events that bring the Canadian legal community together. The events include the ZSA series of General Counsel Award programs including the Canadian GC Awards, the Quebec GC Awards and the Western Canada GC Awards; and the Quorum Club, an invitation only event for General Counsel.
Jennifer was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996 and is a certified In-House Counsel. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Labour-Management Relations from University of Toronto and an LL.B. from Queens University. Jennifer is the founder of NourishHope, an annual event that raises funds and awareness for International Justice Mission (IJM). Currently, Jennifer sits on the Board of Directors for IJM Canada and Chairs the HR Committee.
Jennifer has a passion for mission work and volunteers to contribute her time and experience internationally. She has provided leadership training in Kenya for Changing Times Ministry; was a team member on a Medical Mission with Mully Children’s Family in Kenya; travelled to Bolivia on mission for IJM Canada; and most recently, she taught a social justice course to adult students in West Bengal for the Bethel Training Institute.
