As the Office Manager & Bookkeeper, you will oversee daily operations, manage administrative staff, maintain financial records, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. You will be the right hand to our clients lawyers, keeping everything on track behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations and administrative staff
- Handle full-charge bookkeeping including A/P, A/R, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain client trust accounts in compliance with Ontario Law Society regulations
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and office expenses
- Coordinate with external vendors, IT, and legal software support
- Implement and maintain efficient office procedures
- Assist with HR tasks, including onboarding, benefits, and compliance
Requirements:
- 3+ years of office management and bookkeeping experience in a law firm
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Clio
- Strong understanding of trust accounting and legal compliance
- Good organizational and communication skills
