7-12+ years | Calgary or Vancouver

Working with a Canadian owned and operated company, on a massive growth path, and for over a decade recognised as one of Canada’s best managed companies. They are looking for a Head of Legal for one of their new subsidiaries, to be based in either Calgary or Vancouver. Reporting to the Group CLO, and with a real leadership role within the subsidiary business.

You will be a strongly business-minded lawyer, who is excited to take on the responsibility of running a division without micromanagement, but with the full support of the group CLO to bounce ideas off, and have a courageous leadership style, conviction and maturity.

Experience advising a fast-paced and dynamic business in a broad generalist in-house legal role is vital. A strong contractual background is important, while some experience with labour law / a unionised workforce would also be useful.
