Our client, Olymel L.P., is a leading agri-food company founded over 30 years ago. Today, Olymel has a global footprint, operating in over 65 countries under the Olymel, Lafleur, and Flamingo brands. With approximately 30 plants dispersed across five Canadian provinces, the company has become a prominent employer, with a workforce of over 15,000.

Pursuing expansion and enhanced operational alignment, Olymel has created the role of Legal Affairs Manager.

As a direct report to the Senior Vice President, your role will encompass overseeing the legal aspects of the company and its entities. Your responsibilities will include extensive involvement in the creation, examination, and negotiation of diverse commercial agreements (including: product sales, supply, sponsorship, advertising, and information technology. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in contract management, participate in activities related to acquisitions, real estate transactions, and brand sales.

Furthermore, you will provide legal counsel to various business units, addressing issues that may arise during the company’s operations, and offering guidance on regulations related to the protection of personal information. Your duties will extend to corporate secretarial work and governance, with a specific focus on Olymel’s subsidiaries. On occasion, you may be required to assess potential claims and remedies involving the company, providing recommendations as needed.
