We are working with the Calgary office of a major law firm, currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead their busy Accounting & Finance Department. You will be responsible for leading a team, and overseeing all operations in the department.  This includes forecasting, preparing financial analysis, looking at ways to improve profit, auditing, budgeting, designing & implementing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with current accounting standards.  You will be working closely with the local managing partner, the national CFO, and the Calgary team of with partners, managers and support staff.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in accounting and finance at a senior level within a large law firm, with a demonstrated skillset in client services and management. This role requires a proactive individual with a high level of responsiveness, and CPA or equivalent accounting designation.
