In-house Counsel | 5-8 years | Calgary

We are working with a major national company, a well-known household name brand, now looking for an experienced In-house lawyer to be second chair to their General Counsel.

This is a truly broad generalist in-house position where you’ll be advising the business on a wide range of legal and compliance matters.  The legal team is strongly embedded in the company as a true business partner, and they are looking for someone who enjoys and has experience working closely to support a business.

You will need to have previous in-house experience, a strong contracts background, as well as ideally some exposure to privacy, compliance and risk management matters.  While not necessary, exposure to franchise work would be an asset, as would French language skills.
