Reporting to the VP Legal, Industrial, Labour and Employment the Law Clerk is accountable for providing administrative and legal support to the Legal and Risk Management Group within the company. This position offers an opportunity to support a dynamic and high functioning team.
What you will be Working on

- Providing administrative and general office support.
- Handling accounting and billing matters including processing of invoices. preparation of expense reports.
- Arranging travel schedules, as required.
- Calendar management and coordination of team meetings.
- Providing Contract support and administration
- Organizing digital files, including contracts, subcontracts and other legal agreements
- Maintaining weekly contract review schedule
- Corresponding with internal stakeholders
- Updating and creating legal presentations
- Contract Review
- Recognizing and analyzing repeat clients
- Comparing contracts and reporting changes and differences
- Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Assembly of contract documents and bid submission exception tables
- Legal research
- Assisting in the implementation of future technology services for the team.
- Providing administrative and general office support.
What They Are Looking For

- 5+ years’ work in a legal administrative capacity for a large team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective and efficient problem solving and decision-making skills; thoughtful, proactive and creative
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the construction industry is an asset
- Strong computer skills using a wide variety of software including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in the implementation of file management systems is an asset, but not a requirement.
- Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
