Our client, Pure Industrial (“Pure”) is one of Canada’s leading providers of industrial real estate. Pure acquires, develops, leases and manages a portfolio of high quality, strategically located industrial real estate across Canada. With over 240 employees across Canada, it owns 43 million square feet of industrial space in the country, of which about 20 million are located in the Province of Quebec. To best service its needs, Pure is now looking to add a lawyer to its legal department, already comprised of about 10 professionals.

Based in either Montreal or Quebec City, in this newly created position, you will report to the Senior Manager of Legal Affairs for the Province of Quebec, who reports to the Vice-president, Legal Affairs. On a daily basis, you will work in close collaboration with the leasing department to advise them on legal risks as well as to translate their business objectives into legal documents. In addition to providing them sound business and legal advice; you will review, draft and negotiate leases, amendments, renewals and a variety of other documents, and liaise with tenants, their brokers or lawyers. You will also work on internal policies and procedures, and assist from time-to-time the Investments team with property acquisitions.
