Our client, Sogetel, is a Quebec-based company that provides telecommunications services to both residential and business customers. Founded in 1892, it is one of the leading independent companies operating one of the most extensive fiber optic networks in Quebec.

Given the scale of its various projects, Sogetel is expanding its legal team with the addition of a Legal Counsel position, joining a group that already includes three lawyers. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, your work will be focused on business law, specifically real estate and corporate law. You will be involved in transactions related to the purchase and sale of land and buildings, the related corporate legal matters, and the negotiation of leases and easements. In addition, you will provide legal advice on commercial law matters related to commercial law and regulations related to telecommunications and broadcasting. You will take part in projects involving the construction of cell towers, the management of a large-scale fiber optic network, representation before the CRTC, and more.
