Our client, Brasswater, is a leading real estate development firm specializing in the acquisition of commercial properties across Eastern Canada and the United States. The company oversees a diverse portfolio of industrial, office, and retail properties managed by a team of over 70 professionals, including builders, developers, property managers, lawyers, accountants, and leasing specialists. Since its establishment in 2015, Brasswater has acquired and developed over 13 million square feet of property and holds an additional 13 million square feet of land for future development.

To keep up with the pace of growth and effectively meet its needs, Brasswater is looking to expand its legal team!

Reporting to the Senior Director of Legal Affairs, you will be involved in negotiating and drafting commercial leases, amendments, and renewals, while acting as a strategic partner to the operations and property management teams. You will work closely with internal teams, coordinate mandates assigned to external legal counsel, and contribute to the drafting of reports on ongoing matters. You will also interpret the rights and obligations of the parties, anticipate and highlight legal risks, and provide creative solutions to address the issues at hand. You will also assist with other projects within the legal department and may occasionally be called upon to work on certain acquisitions.
