Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for
- Ensuring the brand is protected against misuse and infringement on a national scale, and for overseeing the enforcement of the trademark compliance program;
- Providing guidance to members on proper brand usage and conduct internal training sessions to ensure a clear understanding of related obligations;
- Acting as a liaison with external legal counsel for trademark registrations and, when necessary, support litigation matters;
- Drafting or reviewing commercial agreements and you may also be called upon to assist the General Counsel in his role as Corporate Secretary;
- Maintaining membership of a Canadian provincial bar and ideally, fluent in both English and French.
