We’re working with a leading insurance company that is seeking an experienced lawyer to join its dynamic team in Edmonton as In-House Legal Counsel. This hands-on role offers significant autonomy, direct business engagement, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative and evolving organization. The position involves a broad litigation practice with a primary focus on insurance defence matters across a variety of lines, including bodily injury claims, commercial property, commercial liability, and new home warranty disputes, while also expanding into areas such as professional liability and directors’ and officers’ (D&O) liability. The role may also be well suited to lawyers with a strong background in general civil litigation, including those with plaintiff-side experience, who are interested in transitioning their advocacy and litigation skills to an in-house environment.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, relationship-driven lawyer with strong litigation experience, sound judgment, and a desire to build a long-term, adaptable in-house practice within a growing legal team.
