Our client, a highly regarded full-service law firm with a nationally recognized pensions and benefits practice, seeks an experienced lawyer to join its growing Pension Fund Investments group. This opportunity has arisen due to the impending retirement of a senior lawyer, creating the opportunity to step into an established and sophisticated practice.

The successful candidate will work with some of Canada’s largest pension funds and institutional investors on sophisticated investment transactions across a broad range of asset classes while stepping into an established book of work. Matters include private equity, infrastructure, real estate and other alternative investments, as well as corporate/commercial transactions, investment management agreements, securities matters, governance, and regulatory compliance.

Experience advising pension funds, investment managers, or institutional investors on complex investment transactions will be highly regarded. Candidates currently practising in-house at major pension funds, institutional investors, or investment managers are also encouraged to apply.

The role offers a reduced billable target, a flexible hybrid work model, no book requirement and a clear pathway to partnership. Both Senior Associate and Partner-level candidates will be considered.
